This song was inspired by a number of Jazz-Fusion and Progressive Rock artists including Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, ELP, King Crimson, etc. I used a variety of mixed meters in this song like 9/8, 7/8 11/8, 7/16, and 15/8. The title of this song Mare Nubium is Latin for ‘Sea of Clouds’, and it’s the name of a lunar sea on the moon. I created this song during a peak period of creative rush, so it onpy took several days of work.

Creativity means freedom of expression to me. I love writing music because I get to decide how the song goes and what emotions it conveys. Writing and listening to my own music gives me more pride in my musical playing ability as well. Without creativity, I wouldn’t enjoy music as much as I do now.
