This piece is about being a teenager, and the stresses that it induces once you begin to reach the end of your high school years but have not yet done the basic high school things (e.g. kissing someone, drinking, partying...). It was for one of my classes originally, but it ended up not working out. However, I really enjoyed writing this piece and I liked the idea that I came up with, so I reworked it for this competition into something I like much better than the original. I don't know what else to say, so I hope you enjoy and thanks for the consideration and this wonderful opportunity!

Creativity is the ability to be free. Specifically with writing (though applicable to all creative endeavors), creativity allows one to put anything that is bothering them, anything that they're excited about, just about anything that is on their mind into words on paper—into something concrete.
