I created my writing pieces in class based on prompts provided by my teacher. I enjoy working with constraints such as these -- they allow a large amount of creative freedom while encouraging me to try new things! My poetry is written base on the Shakespeare's sonnet. However, I also broke some conventions in order to convey the message of the poem in the way that I wanted.

In the 8th grade, I started a club where I taught others crochet. A year later, many of my friends still crochet. It makes me so proud! Crochet and other areas of artistic expression allow myself an outlet to process my feelings and a way to connect with my community.
