I create my art as a way to destigmatize my identity as an African American & Latinx female spoken word poet and artist. I make art to challenge the status quo. After viewing my art, I want people to form their own opinions regardless of how radical they may be. Through creating my art work, I intend to offer my beliefs of the world as they are neglected by mass media. I’d like to be a representation of those who have walked these sacred grounds before and the brown babies that come after me. My art is my release from the shackles of colonization and white supremacy.

Exploring new methods of creativity allows me to gain new outlets to self expression. I find that with every new medium I discover I discover an new part of me. Expressing my creativity impacts my life by allowing me to be my truest self in my most authentic form loudly.
