My piece, "fragments of the past" (2022) is a chamber work for flute, clarinet, violin, violoncello, piano, and marimba. The piece plays with contrast through polyrhythm, dissonance, and mixed meter. It puts the listener on edge with different atonal and bitonal melodies interweaving and connecting throughout the piece, creating a textural and fragmented atmosphere.
