As a teenage girl, I am always thinking of ways to avoid creepy old men (not to generalize but many others and myself have had to deal with them numerous times). I thought it would be hilariously brilliant if I walked around with a huge dragon mask and cloak, because nobody would mess with me! I love reading pieces that are wacky and clever, so I decided to bring this concept alive in a short story, with the main character, Samantha, who's reasoning for wearing this get-up is a bit more complex than it may seem.

Expressing creativity impacts my life because it boosts my confidence. It makes me feel alive and brings me joy. I love writing because when you have a passionate feeling or idea, the words flow out with such ease, and you can create something you are truly proud of.
