I wrote this on the fifth anniversary of the Tubbs fire. I was 9 when we evacuated during that fire (and we have 2 other times for fire since then), and many of the people I know lost their homes. My community was devastated. But I know that no matter what, there is hope. Things will be rebuilt. Trees and grass will grow back. We will rise.
