The following video is a performance from my recital of a Fleetwood Mac set from my singing class. In my class I have learned many singing skills which I hopefully display in this recording: creating a story for a song, creating a structure for each song, working on having a relaxed jaw, working on having good placement, and correct pitch. With this particular song, I began my process by identifying the story I wanted to tell based on lyrics and research. I then formed the structure of my performance by choosing which parts of the song I wanted to emphasize. Finally, I worked on having a relaxed jaw, correct pitch, and good placement by practicing my performance many times.

Finding creative ways to express my feelings, inner thoughts, and understandings of the world has always been a crucial part of my identity and contributions to my community. To me, art is not only a way to share who I am, but also a way for me to fight against injustice I see in the world.
