I sometimes struggle with intrusive, obsessive thoughts. After being hit by a wave of these thoughts one day, I decided to describe my experience in the hopes of revealing a narrative to which others might relate.

My exploration and expression of creativity, whether in the form of poetry, music, or dance, allows me to connect with my innermost, true self--and share parts of that self with those around me. Through artistic expression, I can also transcend the monotony of my structured life within society.
