• Artist Statement

  This piece is an Indian classical dance called Kuchipudi. The dance was entirely choreographed by six dancers. All of us learned Kuchipudi for over ten years and decided to take this award as an opportunity to spread our culture. From choreography to costumes and makeup, this dance took us two months to perfect and over six run-throughs to find the perfect clip!
