My poem "metamorphosis" is a commentary on love. In my poem, "metamorphosis," two teenagers share a fragile, fabricated love. One that testifies to their immaturity and age. However, naturally for teenagers, it is also a persistent kind of love, one they are desperately trying to build in the space they share.

As a poet, poetry is a medium I use to view the world. Through poetry, I become more moved, inspired, and attentive to my surroundings. I am always using poetry as a tool -- to build relationships, to practice gratitude, and to search for stories. Poetry is beyond a hobby: it is also a lifestyle.
