I had a very real (and very hilarious) dream about my brother that inspired this short story. My brother and I have always been close, but we grew even closer over the pandemic. I had quite a hard time adjusting when he left home for college. Recently, I dreamed that my brother had moved to Nebraska to become a corn farmer, of all things! I really did start crying in my dream, but I couldn't stop laughing about the absurdity of it all when I woke up. It was too funny to write about, and I thought that it was a testament to how much I care about my brother.
