As soon as the war in Ukraine broke out, I was completely engrossed in the barrage of war footage and heartbreaking stories that arose from the conflict. I was inspired to write a song to evoke the feelings of anger and loss I saw spreading throughout the world; a testament to the dead and displaced that I hope would inspire some of those who listen to it to gain a deeper understanding of this tragedy and offer help in whatever way they can.
