• Artist Statement

  Reaching out to Freedom, a drawing made with pencil and colored pencil was primarily created using hatching, crosshatching, and contrast. This drawing represents control and oppression over women, minorities, etc., all inspired by the events of 2022 such as Roe v Wade being overturned, BLM rallies, etc.

• Creative Statement

  Exploring and expressing my creativity supports my mental health, and improves my daily life by impacting my mood, school work, and personal connections. Ever since I started drawing, painting, and singing seriously, I've found my life improving exponentially.
