This song is composed of clean electric guitar as well as vocals. While making this song, I drew inspiration from some of my favorite artists such as The Beatles and U2. Although I am mainly a rock guitarist, I wanted to experiment with vocals as well as the use of competing melodies, something which I implemented at the end.
I encountered a lot of new challenges when composing this song because I usually play more fast-paced tunes, so singing and writing somber music was a new experience. Another challenge was using multiple voices at once to create unique vocal textures. I spent a lot of my time experimenting with different vocal textures. I also often found it difficult to decide when an interesting idea fit into the song or whether it was appropriate stylistically.
I used Garage Band for editing the song and I recorded using my headphone speakers (unfortunately).

Creating music brings me a sense of personal fulfillment and allows me to connect with others through a shared love of music. Expressing myself through music has let me relax and clear my mind from the stress of life.
