I wrote this song about 3 years ago while in my first serious relationship with my then-girlfriend. I decided to come back to it and I changed some lyrics to make it feel more personal now that the circumstances have changed. Revisiting this song made me realize how much I've improved and changed over the years; I feel proud of myself. Singing it didn't feel the same as it did when I first wrote it, I don't have the same feelings for the person it was written for, but I could still feel the emotions behind the words, just in a different way.

Social interactions aren’t easy for me; things like holding conversations and eye contact are challenging and stressful. I started music and theater classes in 7th and since then I have used songwriting as the platform to say everything I need to say in a way that comes easily to me.
