I enjoy songwriting as it allows me to explain my thoughts without having to state them in formal terms, and to accentuate them with musical features. I also like attempting to create memorable melodies, which I feel are essential to a good song. For this song, I wrote the lyrics first, then created the music based on this, although I had the swing rhythm in mind at the beginning. This song was inspired by my feelings on the concept of revenge and its appearance in culture and literature; I often feel like revenge is not morally correct and only places one on the same level as the one on whom they wish to get revenge, which is illustrated by the lyrics of this song.

I consider writing music to be a very helpful medium of expression when I want to show specific emotions which are better conveyed sonically, or when I want to express ideas which would be difficult to put into words. Creating such works allows me to share my ideas and feel satisfied about them.
