My piece is a digital illustration made on Procreate. The drawing is meant to satirically depict the unresolved environmental crisis and our neglect that will haunt generations in the future. It simultaneously portrays the switched role between fish and humans, with humans being drowned where fish thrive while fish swim around indifferently, and the hypothetical future destroyed by climate change, where humanity is drowned by rising sea levels and fish long been extinct from pollution. What will it take for us to realize the damage we are doing and for us to stop being willfully ignorant— suffering the consequences of our own actions or being placed in the shoes of those already suffering our endless endeavors?
