YYZ by Rush is one of my favorite songs to play and is known as a challenging drum song. I first heard the song played live by a band. I fell in love. I knew I had to play it and brought it up to my own band. After lots of practice we had it down and played it live. Everybody loved and and we received lots of compliments. We continued to play it every performance just because of how fun it is to play. When I heard about the Creative Youth Award, I instantly thought of playing this song. This song will forever have a special place in my heart and brings joy every time I play it!

Exploring all ways of Drumming means a lot to me and is a huge part of my life. Now that I am a Junior, I have decided to fully focus on my drumming. From personal growth to playing with bands, I find myself drumming all the time. Being able to express what I love to other people is spectacular.
