In recognition of June as Immigrant Heritage Month, I journeyed to the Angel Island Immigration Station facility and museum to explore the history and stories of the individuals who came through Angel Island.

In my artwork "Man-Made Nature", I wanted to represent a synthesis, yet contrast of elements and ideas. In the foreground is the birdhouse, whose slight orange-ish brown contrasts the vibrant green background.
