This scene takes place at Lake Meritt during a "Sunday Funday" Bike Rideout.

Most of the time I feel like the things I accomplish in life do not suffice to explain the kind of person I am.

What led me to take this photo was an assignment that I had for my photography class where you had to take a picture of light in the dark.

Instead of just taking a photo I try and illustrate the small details I notice.

When taking photos I chose to focus on stills and action shots when at sports events.

When I shot "Looking Upon My Friend, the Flower", I was out on a school photoshoot centered around the rule of thirds.

This photo is a long exposure of a dancer.

When I was taking the shot, it was in the moment of thinking that I would never be able to have this opportunity again.

The piece I selected to submit “Pieces of Her” came from a shoot I did late in 2022, on 35mm black and white film.

When I go camping, I always try to remember my camera.

I shot my image through the reflection of a mirror.

With my photography, I like to keep a keen eye to my surroundings and look out for a possible opportunity for a photo.

My art is a messed up basketball rim and chain to represent bad days but you get through it.

My class took a field trip to Chinatown where we saw multiple performances.

These photos were a way for me to add more of my personality to portraits by using colored lighting and shimmery makeup, and I had a lot of fun planning out the details of the subject's look.

The picture I am submitting is picture that I took for a rainy day assignment in my photography class.
