• Artist Statement

  This is a love letter to my friend. It is also my story. Writing this felt extremely cathartic and gave me a place to express my endless gratitude to my friend for being there for me, even when she needed someone to be there for her. I had little control over the investigation, or really anything in my life at the time, and she made me feel okay when everything wasn't. This only begins to express what I feel for her. Everyone should have a Sasha (though, hopefully in different circumstances).
