• Artist Statement

  For this painting l decided to use a pink and red color for the flower to give a warmth and welcoming atmosphere for the flower. I also decided to use a golden color for the center to emphasize the meaning of “heart of gold”. And for my background I decided to use different shades of blue to highlight the transition between the shades in a blooming manner. The transition from bright to dark symbolizes the beam of hope that the flower gives out the the darkness that represents the world. The flower overall serves to represent a person filled with hope and kindness and the wave of light is the hope they influence to the dark world. Their heart of gold will always remain and their light of hopian will shine whenever they go.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me means to express one’s thought. When it comes to creating anything your mind thinks of, it means to create a world that belongs to you because you’re the only one who can create your world. And that’s what creativity means to me.
