Creativity is something that comes for all in many different shapes and forms. For some it’s their music; dark waves of notes and harmonies that entrance them and carry them into a different world. For others, it’s acting; the performance taking them into a new dimension, spinning with emotion and feeling. For me, it’s art. The way the colors preform, dancing and winding across makeshift world and characters that my own mind spills onto the blank canvas is truly entrancing. I created this artwork to visually express the feeling of relief and comfort art brings to me. The girl laying on the bed; is me. Floating slightly above the blanket, she is gently lifted into the air; finally reunited with the creative world after a long day. May it have been school, a particularly tiresome practice, a argument with a friend or even a tough test, the gentle lure of art allows you to remember to breathe and appreciate the beauty that you can create yourself. Distractions litter beside her, but above shines the bright and welcoming world of light and color that welcomes her no matter what happened prior. The shining heart within her chest symbolizes the connection we have with our craft, no matter where we go; we feel that tug. With every thing we do, our creativity shines through brining in that colorful spark into a greyscale world, that is distinctly yours.

Creativity shows the deepest parts of your heart allowing to express parts of yourself not often shown on display. It lets you get away, even if it were for minutes from the tiring outside world and into the wild colorful imaginative landscape that is your mind.
