• Artist Statement

  This is an octopus araising from the sand, and holding a cup, a pirate 's trophie of a sort. I wanted to create an unsual, yet unique cup holder for my trinkets. The base of the piece (the octopus tentacle) is hand scuplted while the cup is made on the wheel.
