My art piece entitled ‘Rock On!’ is a routine formulated from inspiration of many other artists in the dance industry and my future goals. This piece was my first time dancing, performing, and choreographing in heels which presented quite the challenge of my artistic vision.

Dance has always been my chosen language, a silent yet powerful form of self-expression that transcends words. In selecting "Dealer" by Lana Del Rey as the song for my choreography, I was drawn to the hauntingly beautiful melody and the raw, poetic nature of her lyrics.

This piece is about the lives of working women dancers. These dancers struggle everyday to provide for themselves and to be able to keep doing the thing they love.

Contortion is traditional art derived from Mongolia and showcases the great capabilities of the human body and displays flexibility.

I believe that an artists most valuable resource is exploration. Whether that be challenging yourself to explore a whole new area of your art form or trying to redefine something familiar. In dance, I find that when I take time to connect back to the purest form of movement, and really feel what it’s like to move is when I begin to create meaningful progress.

“Your Gonna Miss Me” is a piece about leaving the past behind and finally moving forward. This past year I graduated eighth grade and started my freshman year of high school. As I was experiencing all of these changes, dance was my outlet.

This original choreography, which incorporates aspects of street dancing, was produced for a large-scale performance. When I created this, I wanted everyone to enjoy themselves while learning the fundamentals of street dancing, such grooves and textures, regardless of prior dance experience.

This is a solo piece that is created for my personal attributes and enjoyment.

Expressing creativity

"Echo of the Tao in the Green Mountains" is the embodiment of nature's harmony and the spiritual essence of Taoism. We move with grace against the backdrop of lush mountains, mirroring nature's tranquility through each fluid motion as we dance.

This piece was choreographed to the song “Carry You” by my dance coach, Angela Holmes. It is a contemporary solo that draws upon modern and ballet techniques. Carry You is a story about helping someone through a difficult time.

This piece is choreographed by my teacher, Marina Osipova, under the beautiful, world-renowned, Beethoven composition, “Moonlight Sonata.” Using such a legendary classical arrangement and applying something of our own can be daunting, but it was a valuable and eye-opening experience.

This piece is about a woman crying over her man after a breakup, but throughout the piece she finds this strength and power that ignites in her. This piece shows the evolution of her grief and how she comes to terms with it and ultimately finds the strength to conquer it.

This piece represents my struggles with anxiety and depression. My unbridled passion and love for dance gets me though all of the hardships in my life.

When creating this the message I wanted to send was of hope that even though you may be going through a season in your life that is difficult and you physically do not see a way out.

This piece is simulating a fantasy world filled with fairy’s and magic. I created this piece with the inspiration of Shakespeare’s play “A Midsummers Night Dream”. I wanted to convey a mystical world of mischievous fairies and sprites around a forest.

I chose this song to choreograph a contemporary dance to because it speaks to and resonates with me. The song, appropriately titled, “Don’t Need Nobody,” embodies the idea that you can be independent and stand on your own.

Only until quarantine did I realize I had a passion for dance. I had no prior experience in dance, yet when I discovered the world of K-Pop, I found myself entranced by their performances.
