Alone but never lonely

• Artist Statement

  This is a painting that I made a few months back after a trip to the park. It took me two days to finish due to the drying time but I had the vision right from the start. When I was sitting at a park I realized that even though I was alone I didn’t feel lonely. It was one of those moments where I could see the sun and moon both on opposite sides of me. I layed on the grass and felt everything piercing my back. I was comforted by the ones that didn’t speak but the ones that were simply there whether it was the flowers growing around me or the moon and sun watching for hundreds of miles away. I was alone but I wasn’t lonely that day.
