I created this oil painting on a piece of wood. When I fist saw the picture of this boy with his face all smushed together I loved it right away. I thought it was such and interesting sub just and wanted to paint him, and his story. I imagined the little boy being forced to sit still and deal with whatever haircut the adults wanted him to get. I really could relate to this and enjoyed giving him a backstory. Originally the picture was a much more zoomed in version, with only one hand and some of the scissors showing, but I ended up making up more surrounding the boy.

Creativity comes in many different forms, but always comes from an expression of the artist’s self. I feel that I can express myself to others in different images of people, or even objects and rooms. I love all types of art. Anyone can be creative and anyone can make art.
