I had been to fleet week many years prior. When I went this year I had this exact shot in mind, the sailboat framing the two F/A-18E Super Hornets as they merged. I couldn’t have asked for a better moment.

As a high school student we don’t get the most freedom, especially during the week. When I get to be creative I have the freedom to do what I want on my own schedule. It’s very freeing and I produce some great art when I get these chances.
