• Artist Statement

  Inspiration for this piece came to me as I was playing video games one night with my friends. I was reminded of the nostalgic feeling I experienced as a kid messing around on Minecraft, a sandbox platform that’s been around since 2009. This work is an ode to fond childhood memories and digital nostalgia, as well as the feeling of growing up. My painting includes a line from the Minecraft ending poem that appears once you beat the final boss.
