I wrote this piece for a 100-word microfiction assignment in my Creative Writing 2 class. It had to include the word “change,” the action of hiding something and be 100 words or less. This assignment is one of my favorite assignments of the year. I had never written from the perspective of an animal before and I thought it might be a nice change of pace. I ended up loving this and now animal perspectives are my favorite to write about. It’s so fascinating and challenging to really consider the perspective of another species.

Creativity is making something from your own thoughts and really just creating things for others to experience and enjoy. I like when I create something and see people get to admire what I made.
