• Artist Statement

  This painting was inspired by the Indian festival Holi- the festival of colors. The jellyfish represent the carefree nature of joy and celebration. My train of thought when making the painting was that the jellyfish would be floating around calmly in the sky while humans had a chaotic time playing with colors for Holi. I wanted observers to feel the same joy that can come from chaos or peace.

  Creativity is whatever you want it to be. That is the beauty of defining innovation for yourself. As long as something is true to myself, it is something only I can make.
