This is an optical illusion using Op Art. The geometric patterns and contrast of black and white, plays with the viewer’s perception of depth, movement, and space. The use of shapes and checkerboard patterns create a composition that carries the eye across the surface for engagement. The swirls and linear distortions symbolize chaos and harmony in life, standing for life’s dualities. Meanwhile, the structured, repetitive grid patterns offer a sense of stability within the movement. This tension between order and flux invites viewers to reflect on their perceptions and questions. In this artwork I aim to trigger senses and question the conventional gaze while celebrating the power of simplicity in view of complex emotions and thoughts. It is both an experiment and invitation to immerse oneself in visual wonder.
