This piece is a ”story” of fantasy and how life can be full of fantasy. The books represent life and it’s crazy, dreamlike existence, which is conveyed through the vivid colors and dramatic scene. The arrows, fire, and fantastical elements show the chaos around life (the books). Life is unpredictable and can often feel like a fantasy book being played out in front of our eyes. To make this piece, I started off with brainstorming ideas for the different ways I could display my idea and when I decided on this design, I drew it out and revised it many times. From there, I used a pen to ink and then colored and shaded, and finally polished it for certain parts to “pop.”

To me, creativity means expressing your own life and how you feel in your own way. Everyone’s way of art is unique and the way someone expresses art can tell a lot about them.
