• Artist Statement

  I was looking for inspiration for an abstract art piece and came across an image of a Peacock. The vibrant and cool color scheme along with the intriguing shapes of their feathers inspired me to take on the challenge of capturing the beauty of the Peacock in an abstract way. The scene around the peacock is inspired by Greek mythology with the wooden archway, leaves, and Greek styled spirals. Finally the yellow watercolored background was chosen to contrast the cool colors of the peacock with a warm tone and really bring out the vibrance of the peacock.

  Creativity to me means being able to express abstract or powerful ideas and thoughts that you have, in a way that can resonate and impact others.
