• Artist Statement

  I created an artwork called “School Kills Artists. ” This drawing shows a girl trying to escape her schoolwork and notes because she doodles too much in class. She often gets her doodling paper taken away and gets in trouble, leading her to stop making art. As she focuses on school, she forgets her passion for art. This never ending cycle inspires me, and creating this drawing brought me peace and refreshed my artistic side.
