Secondary initially came from the silly question of if in the situation that a clone exists, would it be considered human? Furthermore, what makes a human a person? The piece changed drastically throughout the time I worked on it, becoming more about humility. If you are unwilling to recognize your faults you will only become a weaker version of yourself. The way our own thoughts distort to better suit our vision is something that I find fascinating but little explored upon. This is not the full length of the piece I originally drafted, I had to cut it down to fit the 500 word limit though I feel it still holds up as a strong story.
