Inspired by the lush marine habitats of the San Francisco Bay Area, this piece highlights the interconnectedness between humans and the natural world, particularly in light of growing environmental challenges like global warming. At the center of the composition, a young girl communicates with a seal through an unspoken, almost ethereal connection. Surrounded by a bursting underwater ecosystem, this intimate interaction represents the deep connection between people and the living creatures with whom we share our planet. This artwork’s message is one of harmony but also a reminder that we must preserve the precious balance of nature as it faces mounting threats. Through this piece, I hope to inspire a reverence for the natural world and a renewed determination to address the environmental challenges of our time. The “Secrets of the Sea” are not meant to remain hidden but should be celebrated and protected for future generations.
