A few months ago I passed out from horrible period cramps and was rushed to the hospital. Even though I was crying for pain medications because the pain was so bad I felt as if it was all in my head and that I should be able to take the pain. This poem is how I worked through those feelings and realized that my pain was valid.

Creativity means everything to me. It is the way I express my emotions, my joy, my pain. It is my favorite thing in the world, the way that I feed my soul.
