This piece began as an expression of my love of older photographs, and the way that they capture such a different feeling than modern photos. They are raw, in the moment, and truly show the difference between the present day and decades ago. I really enjoyed the creative process with this artwork, as I worked on it during the summer and was able to perfect the lines and make sure the children and their clothes were accurately drawn. I also was able to research lots about the difference in pricing with Coca Cola and 7Up, which allowed me to be close with my art after acquring lots of background knowlege. This piece was so nice to see come together, and have the end result look so cohesive and clean.

Creativity and imagination allows for anyone, whoever they may be, to have an escape from reality, a safe haven for an individual to express themselves. I am able to make beautiful pieces of art that I can display, and communicate things I might not be able to express otherwise.
