• Artist Statement

  Upon listening to this beautiful cello music, I couldn’t help but allowing myself to immerse into its melancholy and yet mysterious melody. To me, it beautifully narrates a story I saw from the movie - Dark Feathers: Dance of the Geisha - where the Geisha, a Japanese performing artist, went through overwhelming emotional struggle to choose between love and duty. She’s brave, she’s strong, and as she finishes the last dance - she is sad but ready to leave her love behind to pursue a higher calling.
