Writing poetry is a process that requires finding a balance between sharing personal experience and letting the reader see themselves within the words. Often it can feel like there is a “hole in my palm” where personal experience comes out, even when I don’t intend it to. However I have come to peace with allowing what I most deeply feel to be seen and understood by others.

Creativity is a way to express my imagination. My creativity will spark at random times throughout the day: on a public bus, at a gas station or at the beach.
