A Macaw Proposal

I love birds and recently went to the Wildlife Conservation Network's Wildlife Expo in San Francisco and watched a presentation by the Macaw Recovery Network in Costa Rica, who do amazing work rescuing/conserving these endangered birds. I also wrote a creative English paper in which a pet Macaw stole its owner's engagement ring because it was fascinated with it. So, I had the idea to do a Macaw painting because I love Macaws, and to make it unique I added a ring on the one Macaw's beak to make it look like it was proposing. I used oil paints because I find that they give me a better texture and I enjoy working with the thick paint in order to avoid needing too many layers.

Creativity means expressing your unique ideas in whatever way inspires you. I try to be creative by expressing what I love (such as birds) for others to enjoy and hopefully I can help create awareness for issues like endangered animals and I hope to inspire others to protect the environment.
