  "Summertime" is the song that reminds me who I am as a singer. Whenever I perform it, I feel like I am stepping into an old underground jazz club with dim lights, a black dress, natural elegance, and a kind of stillness and slowness where every breath and movement matters. I've always loved musical theater, but soft, bluesy jazz is where my voice feels most at home. This piece lets me tap into emotion in a way nothing else does. It teaches me not just to sing, but to feel. Performing this song allows me to connect deeply with rawness and honesty through styles that have shaped my earliest love of music. When I sing it, I don't just hear the song, I feel it.
