• Artist Statement

  I took this picture on a family road trip around the country. I used my phone camera to capture the natural growth of a wild tree. Out of all my other photographs, I chose to submit this one because I believe it best reflects the artist: me. I'm an uncontainable presences; I don't fit any norms; just like this tree.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is a different lens through which to view the world. It is not just seeing something at face value, but realizing its other possibilities.
