Absurdists. / BuckBirdShot / child as adult impressionist

Andrew L.

  • I have a deep-seated and fundamental fear of being traditional. In my writing, my primary goal is to defy and innovate upon the stereotypical or pre-established, often in the theme or tone of my works. I want to communicate the absurdism and liberty intrinsic to poetry. Though the poems I've submitted here are different in subject matter, they maintain this same throughline of embracing innovation, whether that be explicit in theme, told through the formatting, or demonstrated by the tone, striving constantly for the absurd, the darkly humorous, and the depth in apparently inane topics.

  • Creativity is the ability to defy traditions and norms is the most fantastical, absurd way possible. The more creative you are, the more absurd you can get.
