This piece holds a very special place in my heart, bringing awareness to what’s not always seen — what’s hidden behind closed doors. My pieces handle heavier topics to spread the word, bringing change and awareness around what isn’t talked about enough. We have been taught to hide imperfections, which needs change. I want a world where we can talk freely about our problems, and bringing awareness to these problems is the first step to take in bringing this dream to a reality. For the same reason, I show lots of emotion in my pieces. I’ve been raised to be aware of my emotions, shown that it’s okay to feel things. We could all use a little work and support, and it’s always okay to not be okay. We’re all in the roller coaster ride of life itself, and not everyone can roll with all the punches.

Creativity is an outlet. An opportunity to make new worlds, to spread awareness, to bring about change. Everyone is creative, but it takes a lot to display it. There’s so much you can do with creativity, and I use that outlet to spread a message. I use it with intention.
