Business as Usual

  • My work comes from walking through San Francisco with my camera and paying attention to the small moments people usually rush past. I chose street photography because I was drawn to the mix of cultures that shape the city and how each block feels different. While shooting, I tried to capture people in their own rhythm, whether they were working, talking, or just moving through their day. I focused on scenes that showed how busy the city can be and how much life exists in the background. My process was simple, I observed first and shot second. Stumbling across the beautiful Chinatown, I looked for color, expression, and movement that revealed something real about the community. I want viewers to see the diversity of San Francisco the way I did, not as a postcard image but as a place full of energy, history, and everyday stories.

  • Creativity is paying close attention to the world and noticing moments others might miss. In street photography, it means noticing the details in my life catching real life as it happens and turning it into something that helps people see a place or a person with a little more clarity.
