In my photograph, I wanted to capture the tranquil connection between a bee and a flower. The moment highlights the stillness that can be found in life. The delicate details are especially shown through the pollen on the bee's legs, the fine hairs along its body, and the patterns on its wings. The flower’s bold purple contrasts with the yellow on the bee, and it drew attention to both subjects. I feel that both subjects come to life in this photo and are highlighted in a way that shows off calmness. I was inspired to take this photo not only because of my love for bees, but also to make others take a step back and enjoy the slow parts in life. I used a macro lens to capture the close-up image, and I touched up small details, refining them to contrast the colors, smooth the texture, and intensify details.
