This artwork is showing the park that me and my friends would hang out at during middle school. We always had a lot of fun, and would always climb the trees. I’ve always had a strong connection to pigeons, and they also really enjoy the park around Lake Merritt. I have also had the same situation with swans, but I don’t like them. I drew from a set of photos including a lot of different pigeons and two swans. I drew them on top of my photo of snow park, and did it in charcoal on an 18 by 24 paper, then colored the photo digitally on procreate.
